Derrick Ramirez "More of the same April 2007"
I really enjoy playing different styles of music but when you're trying to create something for a podcast, competing with 2000 other mp3s on someone's player, or something people are going to squeeze onto a CD, you only have so many places to go before you loose cohesiveness or flow. This mix is an attempt to stay fully electronic with a balanced level of musicality, emotion and intensity without sounding too epic, self indulgent or stiff.
With all the mixes so far I've tried to create something that people can listen to in a club while being something for their headphones or while driving down the freeway at 3am. Some have been softer, some harder but I always try to play music on these that I think people who are open minded to different types of dance music would enjoy. This mix is no different.... let me know what you think"
